MT owns and operates six OV-1D Mohawk Aircraft retired from the US Army in 1996. These aircraft have been used extensively in research and development for different new emerging technologies requiring a heavy lift platform with the capability of external stores. The Aircraft has been employed with the development of wide area persistent surveillance, jammer mission, Full motion video, Surrogate UAV, Hyperspectral camera, US Navy Research Laboratory TARPS POD, and US Army Redstone Technical Test Center flying their SEAIP stabilized gimble. The ability to take a customers sensor and custom install and certify for flight is Mohawk Technologies business. The aircraft is completely self deployable for continued operations downrange including complete countermeasures suite. OV-1 has 7 external store locations for a variety of sensors. The aircraft have been contracted for OCONUS missions.
